THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PTFE PIPE AND PE PIPEThe difference between polytetrafluoroethylene pipe (PTFE) and polyethylene pipe (PE) in industrial production is mainly reflected in their molecular structure, mechanicalstrength, corrosion resistance, high and low temperature resistance, as well as performance differences in some special applications. 1. Molecular structure:PTFE pipe is a kind of whole pipe with relatively regular molecular chain segments and uniform structure, while PE pipe has long branched chains and the molecular chain arrangement is relatively disorderly. 2. Mechanical strength:PTFE pipe has ultra-high mechanical strength and can maintain excellent rigidity even in extremely harsh environments. And PE pipes can become brittle at low temperatures. 3. Corrosion resistance:PTFE pipe has good corrosion resistance to almost all chemical substances, including aqua regia, strong alkali, strong acid, etc. This makes it widely used in the storage and transportation of corrosive chemical liquids lose. And PE pipe may not perform well in certain chemical environments. 4. High temperature and low temperature resistance:PTFE pipe has very good temperature resistance and can remain stable between -190~260℃, and will not age even in a high temperature environment of 300℃. PE pipes have relatively poor temperature resistance and will deform when exposed to high temperatures for a long time.
